They’ve grown this section of their model at a moderate pace to gauge traveler interest and ensure the Experiences offered were upholding their high standards. It's been a frustrating experience, and we just wanted to share it with others to warn them about this particular host.So you want to host for Airbnb – but you don’t own a home or have an extra room you can offer guests. We've documented everything and reported it to Airbnb, but we've been fighting for over 3 weeks now to get a refund or credit of $608, and for their listings to be removed. The cleaning company they use even apologized to us for how dirty the place was, but the host didn't seem to care. But, they still refused to respond or refund us. We had to drive 6 hours back home, and we eventually reached out to the host again to see if we could at least stay there for part of our trip. When we reached out to the host for a refund, they blocked us and refused to communicate with us or Airbnb. We ended up paying $608 through Zelle, but we didn't even stay at the place for one night. We tried to make the payment through Airbnb, but it didn't work, so the host suggested we pay through Zelle.
We booked a place for 5 days, but when we arrived, the location was so dirty that we couldn't stay there.
